The 2009 Supporting Deaf People online conference is over for
postings, but you can still sign up to read the papers and postings
until March 1st 2009. See the bookings page for more information.
Conference themes:
1) Deaf Education and 2) Ethics & Professionalism
The sixth in the series of highly successful online conferences,
the 2009 conference promises the same level of cutting edge, high
quality debate. As a delegate said of our SDP 2008 conference:
"Clearly, I really enjoy this conference! The
flexibility, easy-to-navigate style and non-threatening interaction
with fellow delegates keep me coming back year after year. The presentations
are thorough and relevant to my work. What an asset SDP is to the
learning process of interpreters worldwide!"
The proceedings of the previous conferences, and some free downloads,
are available from our online
shop. And you can also see more quotes
from previous delegates.
So far, there are participants from the following countries:
Australia, Canada, Cape Verde, Denmark, Finland, Ghana, Greece,
Ireland, Italy, Ivory Coast, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria,
Philippines, Poland, Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom and the United
States.
The conference has ended, but it's not too late to sign up,
and the contents will be able for reading until the end of February.
