The aim is that learners can access their learning from anywhere that suits their needs. Mobile devices have potential to be tools for learning.
For example PDA stands for "Personal" Digital Assistant, and as with other mobile devices these are personalised devices which individuals use in different ways, they have the potential to enable learning to be personalised and delivered in a way that individuals would wish for. Every learner is different, for some a mobile device will not be their cup of tea for accessing learning, but for others it will motivate and encourage them to learn.

Over the next few pages I will talk about some of the more technical issues we have encountered in relation to mobile learning for those that are interested, I will also present some case studies as well and just some general comments relating to mobile learning. Think of this as an appendix to a written paper.
